Get ready for the Winterfest Slope Style

This Saturday, January 22 show off your best tricks in the Winterfest Slopestyle.  Registration is from 8:30 to 10:15 with the competition beginning at 11:00 in the Terry Peak Terrain Park.  Snowboarders and skiers will get three runs through the park and select their favorite features to hit.  Awards Ceremony is at 3:00 in Stewart Lodge, medals awarded for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place, plus many door prizes will be given away.

Why do you have the slopestyle so early in the season? You just got the park up to par and nobody has ahd hardly anytime to build up their skills. For future reference, don't you think it would be smarter to have it later in the season when everyone is a lil better? It would make for a better competition. And the park would be softer in warmer, end of season weather, and it wouldn't hurt as much to fall. Just a thought.

The Winterfest Slope-style is done in conjunction with the Lead Winterfest, so the date is chosen by the Chamber of Commerce. Also, we have something scheduled every weekend of the season. I try and spread the events out. We will have the Retro Rail and Half-pipe Jam Feb 26, The Big Easy rail Jam on March 5th, plus the Mikey P on March 12, so there are plenty of later competitions in the Park.
