Annual Black Hills Regional Ski For Light

Terry Peak Ski Area welcomes the Annual Black Hills Regional Ski For Light event. Each year many participants and devoted volunteers travel to the Black Hills and Terry Peak to share their winter recreation experiences.   Dedicated Guides help teach blind/visually impaired individuals and mobility impaired individuals to participate in skiing activities. All levels of experience from the individual who has never skied to the advanced skier are welcome. The highlight of the event is the last day's fun races where skiers have a chance to show off their skiing skills.  For detailed information go to http://www.bhsfl.org/

Lunar Run

The Lunar Run at Terry Peak.   This event is complementary to the first 100 registered with a current season pass or January 11, 2025, day ticket.  EVERYONE MUST HAVE THEIR ACTIVE RFID CARD to register and board the lift.  Registration will begin at 4:30 pm in the Nevada Gulch Lodge (no early registration). Everyone must sign a Liability Release Form, and those 17 and under must have a legal guardian sign their liability release form. Ages 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. We will load the Kussy Express Chairlift at approximately 6:00 pm.   Once all participants arrive at the top, flares will be provided to those who want one, and an attempt to make a controlled serpentine line down Kussy will begin. We suggest you wear gear that you are not concerned about compromising because Terry Peak is not responsible for any burned garments.  If you choose to use a flare, please understand you do so at your own risk.  Another suggestion would be to bring your headlamp. * 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult, not use a flare, and have a headlamp. * Must be at least an Intermediate or above Skier or Snowboarder.

Senior Slope-side Day!

Wednesday, February 28, 2026 - Senior Slope-side Day! Terry Peak Senior Skiers 70 +, you are invited to a fun day at Terry Peak.  Check in at the Stewart Bar after 9:00 am to receive your Poker Run card and lunch voucher. Ski around the area to complete your poker run card and return to Stewart Bar by 11:30 to play your best poker hand to win! Then sit back and reminisce about your ski days at Terry Peak while enjoying lunch beginning at noon. You can bring one guest for lunch, and you MUST RSVP by Saturday, February 21, 2026.
