The Terrain Park at Terry Peak Ski Area delivers an exciting freestyle experience for riders looking to take their skills to the next level. Located on Snow Storm and accessed via the Surprise Express, the north-facing terrain park is fully enclosed with safety fencing and designed to provide a dedicated space for progression and creativity on the mountain.

Recent upgrades to the snowmaking system included new lines and permanent snow guns, allowing the park crew to maximize feature development and maintain excellent conditions throughout the season. With a single designated entry and exit point, the park offers a controlled environment in which features are continually updated to keep the experience exciting for returning riders.

Whether you’re learning new tricks or refining advanced skills, Terry Peak encourages all guests to inspect features before use, review landing areas carefully, and ride within their personal ability level.

ATTENTION: For safety, inverted aerial maneuvers are not recommended, and helmets are strongly encouraged for all Terrain Park users.

 

Terrain Park Features

Level Features

The Freestyle Terrain Park includes progressive rails, fun boxes, jibs, hits and other constructed or natural terrain features. They are provided for your enjoyment and offer adventure, challenge and fun. However, freestyle terrain park use, like all skiing and riding, exposes you to the risk of SERIOUS INJURY. Prior to using freestyle terrain park, it is your responsibility to familiarize yourself with all instructions and warnings, to follow safety rules and use proper etiquette.

Terrain Park Safety Initiative

  • Look Before You Leap
  • Before getting into freestyle terrain, observe all signage and warnings.
  • Scope around the jumps first not over them.
  • Use your first run as a warm up run and to familiarize yourself with the terrain.
  • Be aware that the features change constantly due to weather, usage, grooming and time of day.
  • Do not jump blindly and use a spotter when necessary.
  • Easy style it
  • Know your limits and ski/ride within your ability level.
  • Look for small progression parks or features to begin with and work your way up.
  • Freestyle skills require maintaining control on the ground and in the air.
  • Do not attempt any features unless you have sufficient ability and experience to do so safely.
  • Inverted aerials increase your risk of injury and are not recommended on Terry Peak

Terrain Park Etiquette

The Terrain Park is designed to provide fun, challenge, and an alternative to freeriding. Before using freestyle features, be sure to familiarize yourself with all the instructions and warnings and to follow “Your Responsibility Code.” Educate yourself with the rules of etiquette listed below and have a safe day on the slope.

  • Freestyle Terrain contains man-made and natural terrain variations.
  • Freestyle Terrain changes constantly due to weather and use.
  • Inspect Freestyle Terrain before using and throughout the day.
  • In jumping and using this terrain, you assume the risk of serious injury.
  • Be courteous and respect others.
  • One user on a terrain feature at a time.

  • Always clear the landing area quickly.
  • Always ride and ski in control and within your ability.
