Equipment Rental

We strongly encourage you to set up your account profile and purchase your tickets, rentals, and lessons in advance.

Conveniently purchase your lift tickets, rental equipment, and even your lesson packages online, and your all-in-one RFID card will retain all your purchases from Terry Peak.

Each user will need an account profile and RFID card to retain their products. 

As lift tickets, rentals and lessons are purchased, those products will be coded onto your card.

Lift Tickets: The user will keep their card in their LEFT pocket. As you go through the scanning gates, the card will remain in your LEFT pocket; no need to take it out.

Equipment Rentals: The rental staff will scan the card to get the details and assign the equipment.

*Lessons: If you are interested in Group Lesson PACKAGES for anyone in your group, please purchase your all-inclusive lesson packages in the Ski School online store. All Group Lesson PACKAGES come with lift tickets and rentals—no need to buy tickets and rentals separately.   

If this is your first time using the new Terry Peak point of sale system, you will be prompted to set up a user account profile online and add each member of your group as an Associate.  The card(s) can be picked up at any ticket window, the Guest Service Office, or Ski School. Rentals can only be assigned in the rental department.

These cards can be reused, so hang onto the card for the next time you come to Terry Peak. As you make your purchases in the future, your products are loaded right onto the same account profile and RFID card. Therefore skipping the ticket line!

If you lose your card, stop at a ticket window or the Guest Service Office or call (605-584-2165) immediately.

Adding the convenience of the RFID ticketing system will allow you to maintain all your Terry Peak purchases on one card and ultimately elevate your experience at Terry Peak. 

NOTICE: Participating in the recreation of skiing and snowboarding can be hazardous by nature. Therefore in considering the best interests of everyone, carrying children in back-backs on the slopes at Terry Peak is not allowed. Thank you for your cooperation.

The Rental Shop is located on the main floor of the Stewart Lodge and during the ski season is open daily from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.

• Daily rental rates listed below go from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  
• We do not rent goggles, jackets, ski pants, mittens, or gloves.  These items are available for purchase in the Mountain Shop.
• Our largest ski boot size is 16, and the smallest is a child’s size 5.5.
• Our largest snowboard boot size is 16, and the smallest is a child’s size 5.5.

NOTE: For your convenience, equipment rentals are included in all lesson packages.  So if you plan on purchasing a lesson package, you will not need to purchase equipment rentals separately.

Rentals are available to purchase two weeks in advance in the online store.

Equipment Exchanges (skis to snowboard or snowboard to skis) are allowed after 12:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, excluding holiday black-out dates (Christmas break, Martin Luther King Jr, and Presidents Day weekends and Spring Break). $5 for the first exchange, $10 to change back.
NO equipment exchanges are offered Friday through Sunday.

We have a huge selection of ski and snowboard boots from top companies in the industry, including Burton, Dalbello, Elan, Rossignol, and Tecnica. We accommodate rental boot sizes from 5.5 kids to 16 adults, so people of all ages can come and have a great time on the slopes.
